I can really relate to not having a whole lot of experience in the communication field. I am a senior and just now decided what I wanted to do with my career. I’m looking into internships myself to get a jump start on my PR career, and with that said, best of luck to you and your internship. Caitlyn Scafaria

I never really got the hang of the whole cloud storage idea, but it makes a little more sense to me after reading this. That, and I got a good laugh out of this post as well. Dae Yoon Lee

I love that you wrote a post about this! I only recently saw people on Twitter talking about Vine, and I was pretty confused. I never looked into it so now that I’ve read this I actually get it. I think it’s a really cool idea though so I’ll probably look into it now. Megan Hoying

People post messages on companies’ Facebook pages everyday, and it makes me feel good about Subway that they took the time to make some sort of reply to the public. I personally don’t feel like one inch is a huge deal or anything, but they took the initiative to do something about it to make their customers happy. They could have not done anything but they got a message out that they would try to do better. Kari Fox

I can seriously relate to this whole situation since I am a server. But posting the check for everyone to see was definitely a huge mistake. Applebee’s should have known better though than to disable comments and kind of dismiss the problem. I agree that the comment was rude and would have upset me as well, but they should have better PR people to help diffuse the situation and make it clear that it was an accident and won’t happen again. I agree that Twitter is not the best social media outlet for an elementary school (if they actually need social media at all). But Facebook does seem to be the better option. They could post events and pictures and update on the school’s status and activities without having to rely on having followers and people who want to interact with the school. I can’t imagine that there are many elementary school kids on Twitter, and most parents probably don’t even understand it enough to care that their child’s school has Twitter. Glenna Zofcin

I loveee Pinterest, but I’ve never even heard of this. But if it’s anything like Pinterest I’m sure I’d like it. I like the idea that it shows you the stores though, rather than just the images like Pinterest does. It seems to have the same advertising capacity as Pinterest, but Wanelo seems to focus it on the actual store or brand a little more. I may have to check it out for myself and see if I convert from Pinterest. Alyssa McCormick

Oh my goodness I agree. On a daily basis I get up and check Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, my email and maybe try to check out the news. There are so many media outlets and we’ve become so dependent on them that even though it gives me a headache sometimes, I don’t know what I would do if all of my social media was suddenly gone. I totally feel you on this. I really love the idea of keeping up a blog and maybe making it a little more “me” after the class. But I’m not positive that I’ll keep the motivation or have the time to continue it. I’d really like to try though. Michelle Nath
